Just like a lot of Mac developers, I therefore run Visual Studio in a VMWare Fusion VM. And it works great. Except it drives me nuts that keyboard navigation in the Visual Studio editor does not use the same keys as on the Mac.
I'm relatively new to Mac OS, so I'm not entirely sure how this is done.
This is primarily an issue in Excel where I almost never use the mouse, at least on a Windows machine. I'm trying to use Excel on the Mac and it's very slow going. Am I missing something?
For instance, on Windows, if I want to paste the values into a cell in Excel, it's simply Alt (to get to the menu bar) + E (for the Edit menu) + S (for the paste Special... menu) + V (for the Values option). Is there a way to navigate menus like this in Mac OS?
I can get to the menu bar using Ctrl + F2, however from there letters don't work and I need to navigate with the arrow keys, which is painfully slow.
Any options here? I realize this post is focused heavily on Excel, but I'd have the same question in any application (Safari, Photoshop, etc.).
