Participate & win rewards in 'Contest Announcement Design Challenge' by Designhill Studio. Show your creativity & skills with amazing contest announcement designs to the world. In addition, the People’s Choice Award, which is typically voted on and announced during the finale event, was chosen after an online voting contest from April 14-24. Blackives, by Deyane Moses ’19 ’21 (Photography BFA and Curatorial Practice MFA) won this year’s award, bringing home $5,000. Blackives is a consulting firm dedicated to. Voting will open by 9 am on Friday December 18th and run through until 5 pm Friday, January 1st, 2021. All entries must be located within Whitchurch-Stouffville boundaries to be eligible to receive votes. Winners will be announced in early January, 2021.

The Associated Student Government and Graduate Professional Student Congress hosted a mask design contest open to all students. Participants submitted designs on HogSync, and the top designs were voted on over social media. After voting concluded on the top three designs, Salma Alonso won first place. Her design is available for purchase until 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, at this link. Alonso is a senior graphic design student at the University of Arkansas and has many of her designs available for viewing on her website.

As we continue into the new year, it is important to continue with CDC recommendations of social distancing, avoiding large gatherings, and wearing a facial covering. With Alonso's design, you can show school spirit, showcase student art, and slow the spread of COVID-19.

Chantal Kooiman and Kaneesha Govil won runner-up prizes for their contribution to the mask design contest. Congratulations to all winners and participants of the mask design contest, and stay safe this semester.
